Contest is open to all artists (bands or solo acts) except those who are currently signed with a record label or in negotiations for a contract
GENERAL RULES:
O Must be 18 years or older

or has had parents or guardians, read and approve of 



O the objective/purpose of the Hemp 101 Tour/Lyrical Contest
O We expect that Hip Hop will be our main genre based on entry






amounts and the vast audience that Hip-Hop reaches.
O Other genres accepted are:

• Reggae ton /Latin Flava
• Spoken word

Music containing excessive profanity will not be accepted
O There is a 3 song minimum, the following are the categories

• Hemp

• Positive Social Political Change

• Your Own Creation (thoughts/views/ideas)
O Must submit a sample of your music

• CD/DVD's are preferred
O No remade songs (ie. cover songs or remixes) will be accepted,
O Work must be original.

• You may use samples
O Must submit complete entry form with accurate information,
full fees and required attachments
O Must provide a valid e-mail and mailing address.

O All contestants will be required to enter a voter registration id in order to 
participate in the contest.
O Campaign dates and sequencing of solicitations on your behalf are at 
the promoter’s discretion.

Hemp 101 Tour/Lyrical Contest
Entry fee is required at time of submission.
O There are NO refunds on contest entry fees. *Except ones not concidered
O All travel expenses including transportation, meals, and lodging are the sole 


responsibility of each contestant if within your own area
(100 general miles from "Home" City)
O We may provide you with information on specific discounts exclusive
to the Hemp 101 Tour/Lyrical Contest.
O After 3 wins you qualify for select financial assistants
depending on needs $500-$2,000
Entry Fees:
O $35 Single Registration

• $10 per song for single entry contestants (3 song minimum)
O $10 Each Additional Member (for groups/bands)

• $15 per song for groups/bands (3 song minimum)
O due to time constraints each artist/group is limited to 10 songs
SELECTION:
• Three to ten finalist and three winners




will be selected in each category.

• Instrumentally and/or vocally.
Originality & Song selection:

O Caliber of song composition/successful choice of music.
Presentation:

O Effectiveness of stage presence

O Ability to engage the audience.
We reserve the right to not post any video/music content that we feel does not fit our criteria or ethical standard.
By clicking/checking off “I agree” the Submitter understands that the submission does not guarantee their physical participation in the Hemp 101 Tour/Lyrical Contest and that review and analysis of the submission is sufficient consideration hereunder. We may not be able to review and evaluate all of the submissions we receive, and are only able to select a certain number; hence it may reject the submission for any reason.
By submitting, the submitter agrees to give the Hemp 101 Tour/Lyrical Contest and ACCA-CONSORTIUM free license to the work for the purpose of publishing songs/performances related to this contest and the Hemp 101 Tour. (if the Hemp 101 Tour/Lyrical Contest and ACCA-CONSORTIUM should choose to do so). Submitter gives first and last rights to acquire the rights above and beyond this use. Submitter also gives the right to use the submitters name, likeness and biography in connection with any work submitted for/by the Hemp 101Tour/Lyrical Contest and any work produced for/by the Hemp 101 Tour. The submitter (including each group or band member, if applicable) by submission represents, warrants and covenant that it has full right, power and authority to enter the submission, to perform all of the obligations hereunder and that the submission is completely original, except to the extent that it includes elements from the public domain, and further that the submission and any publication thereof shall not be unlawful and does not and shall not defame or infringe or violate any personal, proprietary or other rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark or contract rights, moral rights or rights of privacy or publicity.
